What we mean by "cookies"

This policy covers small data files set by your browser when you visit a Wytte site — first-party cookies, local-storage entries, and session-storage entries. We use as few as possible. We load no third-party analytics or marketing scripts unless you give explicit consent via the banner.

Necessary

Always on. Required for the site to function — these store your cookie preferences and the state of forms you've started filling. They cannot be switched off.

• wytte_consent_v1 — your cookie preferences. Local storage. 12 months.
• wytte_list — local deduplication of newsletter signups. Local storage. Cleared with browser data.

Analytics (optional)

Off by default. Helps us understand which articles get read so we write better ones. Aggregate and anonymous — never linked to your identity.

• Currently: none enabled. If we later add a privacy-respecting analytics provider, we will list the cookies here before turning them on.

Marketing (optional)

Off by default. Used for personalized launch updates and remarketing pixels. Currently inactive.

Third-party services on the page

A few services are loaded as part of the page regardless of consent because they are necessary for it to render:

• Google Fonts — Instrument Serif, Geist, Geist Mono. Loaded from fonts.googleapis.com / fonts.gstatic.com. Sets no cookies.
• Newsletter endpoint — our server proxies form submissions to the email-capture backend. No cookies set in your browser.
• Hosting (Vercel) — serves the site. May set short-lived security cookies.

If you want to block fonts at the network level, you can do so in your browser; the site will fall back to system fonts and remain readable.

Change your preferences

You can change your cookie preferences any time. Open cookie preferences. You can also clear browser storage to reset all preferences and dismissals.
